You may have heard, that a large leak of corporate data occurred recently which has taken the world by storm. The company compromised, Mossack Fonseca, is a business specializing in the creation of offshore businesses, or fronts which deal in a variety business practices. Whether it be property purchases, black market trading, or worse, these dealings have recently been exposed in a massive leak (the largest ever) called the Panama Papers. The company compromised, is located in Panama, hence the name. But why is this important to the average Joe?
It should be no suprise, corporate big wigs, and bureaucrats, have been embellishing in side projects and private ventures for centuries. After all, everyone is out to make money, even if illegally. But at what expense? True, not all the exposed activities are illegal, not on the surface originally. Yet, the question comes to mind: If these activities aren’t illegal then why is everyone so tight lipped over it? We’ve only scratched the surface of this massive leak, which has ties to Putin and Poshenko. Sean Connery, and even the Saudi King. Already, the Prime Minister of Iceland has resigned. The fallout has begun, but for what reason. It is the proof, first hand, of the growing web of illegal entanglements, and secret ploys the rich use to get richer.
The Panama Papers list out detailed activity. To illegal sales of jet fuel used by Assad’s government to target civilians in Syria, to a UK politician secretly financing North Korea’South nuclear weapons program. The Panama Papers make light of the unethical practices of the worlds aristocratic society. Some of which, is at the expense of ordinary people. How? Why create an off shore company? How about tax evasion? Why create a false front if you weren’t hiding something? These are the questions we should be thinking about.
Anyone with half a brain knows the higher ups dip their hands in enterprises they best not disclose. This leak has ultimately shown the world proof of how vast this secrecy is. Had this leak been as sizable 150 years ago, the Marxist movements back then might have had alot more fuel to work with. With all the discontent with these political elite, it should not come as a suprise that the future may very well hold more calls for leaders to step down. Perhaps even revolution. Funny though, how our American press has tried to keep the leak low key and strangely no one in our political system has been linked to any of these off shore accounts, yet. Would they honestly tell us though, if anyone in our political system was involved? Especially since these same new agencies are owned and operated by the very people whom may be involved with off shore dealings.
This leak is the clear cut facts of all that the common rabble are blinded from. Particularly in regards to the lives of the rich, whom walk this earth privileged and ussually greedy for more. It is evidence of how corrupt most of our world leaders are and to what end they will bend the rules, or break them, to stuff their empires. We all should pay close attention to this story as it unfolds.
